Marvel has a Champions Sale through Thursday (10/8). Another long running webcomic, the autobiographical The Devil’s Panties is on sale and the first volume is a mere $0.49. For Giant Days fans, John Allison’s previous webcomic, Scary Go Roundis collected in $0.99 volumes. I’m not sure why it’s broken into three issues, but it’s a classic about mismatched sisters on a misadventure. Kyle Baker is an underappreciated genius and his Why I Hate Saturn graphic novel is here… as three single issues for $0.99 each. Next up, running through Thursday (10/8) is what Comixology is calling the “ Small Press Slice of Life Sale.” This one is 517 items deep and there’s a crazy variety that’s worth browsing, but let me throw out a few things that might be worth your time. It’s not absolutely necessary, but a bit more complete. The Joker version is $2 more this week, but has 5 tie-in issues from the other Bat-titles around the Endgame event. And a final bit of advice, if you’re look at his “main” run on Batman with Greg Capullo, consider getting Joker: Endgame instead of the regular Batman: Endgame (V.7). You prefer Snyder’s Batman? Have you tried his original Bat-tale, Black Mirror? This one features Dick Grayson as Batman, just before the relaunch and has both Jock and Francesco Francavilla on the art. You can dig through the main link or find them in the First Cycle and Second Cycle links. The first one might be heretical, but I’ve always thought Snyder’s best DC work was American Vampire, a history-spanning Vertigo series about the first vampire native to the US and the new strain of vampires he starts. He’s done enough work at DC to rack up 340 sale items, which is a bit to sift through, so let me offer some tips. First out of the gate and running through Monday (10/12) is DC’s Scott Snyder sale.
